Well...I can't believe our last entry was Feb!  Where did the time go!  We can't believe our lil man is gonna be the big 1 this month!  It went by so fast:(  We're now entering toddlerhood which is a little crazy....  He definitely know what he wants when he wants it.  This summer has been a whirl wind with Noah crawling all over the place (started at 9.5 months) and in the mix of building our new house.  We're hoping to be in either this month or next, we'll see.....Noah has been doing great!  He eats like a champ and I'd say his favorite food is definitely chicken, turkey, oatmeal and egg- just like dad.  He's been taking 2 naps and been on a much better schedule than the first few crazy months.  Around 7 months he went through a night waking phase again and I briefly remembered what it was like to have a newborn, and the phase has been coming to an end (about 4 mos later).  We think a lot of it had to do with teething- he has 8 teeth and we think he's working on a molar.  Bauer (our boxer) is definitely Noah's best friend.  Nalla is still trying to get used to the fact that Noah can chase her now:)  Well it's been an absolutely amazing year and we're looking forward to the next.  We can't imagine life with out Noah- he's definitely our pride and joy!  Never a dull moment:)

Well it's been quite some time since we've done updates..... It has been an adventurous few months!  We just got back from a week vacation in Mexico and we had an absolute blast!  Noah had so much fun in the pool and chasing and copying all of the different birds.  He's saying quite a few words and running (literally sprinting) everywhere!  He's also trying to climb and giving mom a heart attack.  I can't believe he's already one and a half.... The time really does fly.  He continues to eat a bunch and grow weighing about 31 pounds and he's taller than most 2 year olds- most people think he's older than he is.  He is so smart what he learns and how much he copies us.  Now we really have to be careful what we say and do:)  It's so cute when we ask him to show us his teeth he shows his lower "picket fence" toofies.  And anytime he gets his picture taken he squints his eyes waiting for the flash.  He knows how to flex his muscles when we ask him like a tough guy.  We are really hesitating from cutting his hair because it is absolutely adorable how it curls out at the bottom.  He is constant entertainment and we can't get enough of him!  Stay tuned and we'll try to update more frequently.

sorry about the delay, but we moved right at Noah's birthday and had to set up the computer, etc.... (we still don't have a TV!.... maybe not a bad thing after all)

click to enlarge Well, I didn't want to say it too soon, but I think it is now official. NOAH IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! He had done a trial back on new years day, but decided he was not quite ready.... but now, it has been a couple of weeks! He sleeps from 7pm to 7am without any problem... never a peep. Mind you he does like to wake up between 6:15 and 6:40, but he just happily sings until it is time to get up at 7:00. What a little machine!

Well I finally got a chance to sit down at the computer and write a journal entry.......  Noah is doing great!  He's continues to grow like a weed.  All the other moms that see him thinks he's at least 6 months old- crazy!  He's wearing 6-12 month clothes.  He's been developing so fast in several different ways.  He entertains himself a lot longer now.  He loves to chew on everything and he giggles when you tickle him!  I can't get enough of his smiles!

Noah and I have been doing a stroller strides class (baby boot camp) at the mall every week and we've been having so much fun!  We've met a lot of other mom's and their babies.  Noah's already got a few girlfriends! 

I started back to work a month ago and that's been going really good.  It was very hard at first but I'm finally getting used to it.  Fortunately I'm only working 2 days a week and one of those days Noah stays home with daddy.  On the other day we have our wonderful friend Cindy watching him.  We feel so fortunate!

I will try hard to do more frequent updates for everyone.  I just have to try and do it during his precious nap time, which isn't very often:)

Well, it has been a long holiday season. Noah has been very busy between the start of the season in Leavenworth, Victoria for Christmas, and back to Portland for New years.
We all had a great time visiting all the family on my side over Christmas. For most of them, it was the first time they got to meet Noah. He was really excited to meet everyone and can't wait to see them again!
We were really lucky this year as grandma and papa Holcomb came out to see us for a few days before New years. What a treat!

Now it is time to learn how to snowboard..... just kidding, we will do that next year!
